Cars are rebuilt & refurbished BCZ & BZ
Carriages.
First entering service
in 1999, BTN cars are used in four VN
sets as a fifth car, a FN
set as the fourth car, and as additional capacity.
Seating 88 Economy passengers, seats are in
a 3x2 set up facing each other in the same layout
as seats in a BN carriage.
As its Economy seating, they do not rotate or
recline. Carpets are dark red and the
curtains are in a brownish tint. |

Each BTN type carriage contains
above seat luggage racks. There is also luggage space, a drinking
fountain, and two rubbish bins, at the West End of the carriage.
A unisex toilet is located in the vestibule area of the the
East End.
Access to BTN carriages from platforms is by manual opening doors at
the both ends of the carriage.
Air Conditioning and heating is
fitted in all BTN carriages. Manual Push Open doors enable access to the saloon, and
manually opening doors enable access between carriages.
BTN carriages run off Head End Power from a
N class
locomotive or a powervan.
