In August 2004, V/Line acquired BZ267 from West Coast Railway (WCR) after WCR finished operating the Melbourne-Warrnambool rail services.

BZ267, originally owned by V/Line, but sold to WCR in 1993, is V/Line's only BZ car presently in service, and the first since the conversion of BZ264 into BTN264 in 1999.

After being overhauled and repainted out of the WCR blue and white livery to the V/Line mk II livery, BZ267 begun running as an additional carriage on V/Line services from September 2004.

Seating 66 Economy passengers, seats are of the original Z car style, with WCR fabric, in a 2x2 set up facing each other. As its Economy seating, they do not rotate, however, they do recline.  Carpets are blue, and the windows have pull down blinds in place of curtains.

There are above seat luggage racks, and luggage space, a drinking fountain, and two rubbish bins, at the West End of the carriage.

A unisex toilet is located in the vestibule area of the the East End.

Access to the carriage from platforms is by manual opening doors at the both ends of the carriage.

Air Conditioning and heating is fitted. Manual Push Open doors enable access to the saloon, and manually opening doors enable access between carriages.

The carriage runs off Head End Power from a N class locomotive or a powervan.
