Seats are fixed,
and carpets are red, as is the tactile surface within the doorways.
The curtains are brown with orange streaks, and each carriage
contains rubbish bins and a drinking fountain.
Access to the carriages is by
sliding side doors, four per carriage, (excluding the BCH which has a
conductors van- it only has two). All of the sliding doors are controlled by a key
switch by the conductor of the train. This switch unlocks the doors
for them to be manually opened at stations, and also closes and
locks doors as the train departs. Doors at the end of each carriage
enable access to the other carriages.
Wheelchair accessibility is
available in each carriage, as all of the passenger access side
doors are wide enough to take them.
Additional 'H' type
sets can be added to them to increase seating capacity - this is
generally rare with the VSH sets though.
There are three VSH sets, with all of them being in the current V/Line Red/White/Blue
livery- with varying V/Line logos. |
