On Thursday 10th August
2006, the Kelvin Club
chartered a V/Line train from Spencer Street to Bendigo and return.
The train consisted of
N452+BZN271+Victoria+Avoca, and departed Spencer
Street Platform 2 as train 8095 at 0920. Arrival into Bendigo was on
time at 1112.
Departure from Bendigo as
train 8096 was approximately 10 minutes late at 18:40 due to the
late arrival of 8031 (1632 Spencer Street to Bendigo), consisting of
VL23+VL33.
However, arrival into
Spencer Street Platform 2 was 14 minutes early at 2028; 108 minutes
for a loco hauled service from Bendigo to Spencer Street.
The train sat in Platform 2
for around half an hour before Y163 shunted the carriages out of the
platform, leaving N452 in the loco release track.
