VL15 coupled onto VL06 at 1707. Passengers were not permitted to board VL06 until the coupling had taken place. Necessary inspections and tests were undertaken before passengers were allowed to start boarding at 1717. Train 8137 - 1712 Southern Cross to Bacchus Marsh CANCELLED Announcement was made at 1704 regarding the cancellation of this service, which was rostered to run as a N Loco + N Set. Passengers were advised to catch 8139, the 1724 Southern Cross to Bacchus Marsh. Train 8235 - 1736 Southern Cross to South Geelong CANCELLED Announcement was made at 1725 regarding the cancellation of this service. Passengers were advised to catch 8237, the 1747 Southern Cross to Marshall. Train 8041 - 1737 Southern Cross to Swan Hill Consist:- N474+VN18 Platform:- 7 Centre Departure Time:- 1749 (12 minutes late) Notes: 8041 departed 12 minutes late due to the train not docking into the platform until 1737. Train 8043 - 1745 Southern Cross to Kyneton Consist:- 7003+7013+7002+7015+7022 Platform:- 6 Departure Time:- 1808 (23 minutes late) Notes: Originally rostered and advertised as six sprinters, departure was 23 minutes late due to the late docking of two sprinters (7003+7013) onto 7002+7015+7022 at 1757. There appeared to be confusion amongst the crew and platform staff as to whether the train was five or six sprinters. At 1801, it was announced the train would only be five sprinters, with passengers allowed to board. The rear sprinter, 7022, was locked up with no lights on, but was powering. Train 8237 - 1747 Southern Cross to Marshall Consist:- N455+FN10 Platform:- 3 Centre Departure Time:- 1750 (3 minutes late) Notes: Unknown why departure was three minutes late. Train 8141 - 1749 Southern Cross to Ararat Consist:- VL23+VL13 Platform:- 8 South Departure Time:- 1814 (25 minutes late) Notes: Departure of 8141 was late 25 minutes due to the late arrival at 1805 of 8144, the 1600 Ballarat to Southern Cross service (due 1732) which forms 8141.
