Every six months or so V/Line change their running timetables for a number of reasons passenger travel trends feedback, patronage, and operational requirements to name a few.

It was announced by the Minister for Public Transport, Ms. Lynne Kosky, on Monday 31st August 2007 that a new V/Line timetable was to come into effect on Sunday 30th September 2007, coinciding with the launch of new Craigieburn suburban services and the new Connex timetable.

The new V/Line timetables were released online on Sunday 16th September 2007 and can be viewed at: http://www.vline.com.au/timetables/timetables/timetables.html

The new Connex timetables were released online on Tuesday 11th September 2007, and can be viewed at: http://www.connexmelbourne.com.au/index.php?id=68

As of 2007, each time V/Line has a major timetable change, V/LineCars.com will develop lists of all rail timetable changes which appear in the new timetables, and release them online as a 'Timetable Alteration Summary'.
